The Challenge
Our customer is an EU agency with the mission to strengthen Europe’s defences against infectious diseases.
In order to build a comprehensive, yet easy-to-use database of both external and internal experts, as well as to facilitate the use of correct terminology in publications, our customer called on DSS Consulting to develop the corresponding solutions.
The Solution
We developed two web-based applications to manage internal and external experts’ profiles:
- Internal app with SharePoint integration, full Competence Map, advanced search functionality
- Cloud-based External app with simplified Competence Map and search functionality
We also developed a Microsoft Office Add-in to integrate Terminology Services (to support the tagging of scientific documents and to ensure the proper wording of publications) with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
